NPC Petrochemical Production Stands At 56.6m Tons

Bushehr, Dec 30, IRNA – Managing Director of National Petrochemical Company (NPC) Abdolhossein Bayat said on Saturday that his company's petrochemical production capacity has reached 56,600,000 tons from 55,600,000 tons with commissioning of the first phases of Kavian Petrochemical Facility and Western Ethylene Pipe Production Line. Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the petrochemical projects in Pars Energy Special Economic Zone in Assalouyeh, Bushehr Province, Bayat said more than 12 million tons are going to be added to the installed petrochemical capacity of the country by June 2013. He said present petrochemical production capacity of the country stands at 23 million tons which is equal to production capacity of several other countries./end
