Oil Min. to raise productions: Iranian official

TEHRAN, Apr. 26 (MNA) – Iran’s deputy oil minister said exports of oil and gas products will rise in the fiscal year ending March 21, 2016. Abbas Kazemi announced the ministry’s major plans to raise production and export of major oil and gas products; “in the current year, an average amount of 10 million liters of kerosene and 3,000 tones of liquefied gas will be exported daily,” he told reporters on Saturday. Development and operation of new phases of South Pars, and production of 100 million cubic meters of natural gas and 100,000 barrels of gas condensates have improved Iran’s place in international markets. In line with this policy, daily production of 10 million liters of kerosene, plane fuel, and 3000 tones of liquefied gas and export to Persian Gulf and world markets are in the agenda for the ministry, which would make Iran the largest kerosene exporter of the Middle East. “With first phase of Persian Gulf Star refinery, Iran will be self-sufficient in gasoline production and will export the surplus amount produced; however, currently, production of liquefied gas and kerosene is major priorities in the production basket,” said Kazemi. “With a grand scheme to distribute to national grid 100 million cubic meters of gas and replacing of natural gas with liquefied gas in power plants, a surplus capacity will be provided for exports,” added the deputy-minister. “Operation of new refineries, we will have a surplus of kerosene, liquefied gas, gas oil, and fuel oil; with Sistan and Baluchistan receiving natural gas through national grid, a daily export of 10 million liters of kerosene will be a possibility,” he detailed.
