Oil Minister Appoints Iranian New OPEC Governor

Tehran, Sept 29, IRNA – Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zangeneh, in a letter to the secretary-general of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries introduced Hossein Kazempour-Ardebili as Iranian new envoy to OPEC. The Oil Ministry told IRNA on Saturday that Zangeneh sent a letter to OPEC Secretary-General Abdullah Salem el-Badri on September 22, saying Hossein Kazempour-Ardebili has been appointed as Iranian new OPEC governor. Kazempour-Ardebili served as Iranian OPEC governor for 23 years from 1985 to 2008. He replaced Mohammad-Ali Khatibi Tabatabai who undertook the post in 2008./end
