Oil Trading Starts At Iran Energy Exchange

Tehran, April 6, IRNA - Iran Energy Exchange is to start trading oil at 3,060,000 rials a barrel on Sunday, managing-director of Energy Exchange said. Ali Hosseini told the petroenergy news network SHANA on Saturday that the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) is to supply 3,000 b/d of crude oil on Energy Exchange, destined to real buyers. He said that potential buyers will need NIOC endorsement, adding that transactions will be done in Iran’s legal tender. “The pricing has been done based on the average price of exported oil in the past one month,” said Hosseini. Hosseini said recently that several private refineries are ready to purchase crude oil on Iran Energy Exchange./end
