Omani delegation lauds Bahrain Investors' Centre services

Manama, Nov. 29 (BNA): An Omani economic delegation, currently on a visit to Bahrain, lauded the facilities and smooth procedures provided by Bahrain Investors' Centre (BIC) of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and the keenness of the Government to promote trade and economic growth, particularly in the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting that it represents the most important element of investment attraction and economic promotion. This came during a visit to BIC conducted by the delegation, headed by Undersecretary Ministry of commerce and Industry of Sultanate Of Oman Ahmed Al Dheeb and Chief Executive Officer of the Information Technology Authority (ITA) Dr. Salim Al Ruzaiqi. Undersecretary of Commerce Affairs at Ministery of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Nader Al Moayyed affirmed the government's keenness on offering facilities for the investors from inside and outside Bahrain and overcome the obstacles of procedures through constant development of electronic applications, in line with government's orientation of providing an attractive investment environment. Officials at the local trade sector and BIC informed the delegation about the workflow at the front desks at BIC and highlighted the incentives and facilities it provides for investors as well as the work mechanism and steps adopted to facilitate transactions. The delegation members affirmed that Bahrain's good reputation and elements of advanced economy in all aspects make it ready to attract large capitals and international economic ventures. They expressed admiration for the progress witnessed by the financial, business and trade and economic movements, which attracts the Omani investors and agreements that cover economic aspects to promote bilateral relations.
