KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 2 (Bernama) -- Over 300 delegates are expected to participate in the International Directors Summit 2014 (IDS 2014) here from Oct 27-28, 2014. Malaysian Second Finance Minister, Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah, would launch the summit, which would cover in-depth discussions on challenges faced by businesses and governments today. The summit, themed 'Inculcating Innovation, Catalysing Growth through Public-Private Partnership', would focus on helping local directors become more entrepreneurial and aggressive to compete in global arena. IDS 2014 is jointly organised by the Malaysian Directors Academy (MINDA) and Razak School of Government (RSOG). MINDA chief executive officer and executive director, Abdul Aziz Abu Bakar, said the summit would feature over 20 experienced local and international speakers from Singapore, Thailand and Australia. "We hope that with the exchange of ideas, sharing of experiences and knowledge between private and public sectors in IDS they can help them become more entrepreneurial in the global perspectives. "The best practices and future trends will be explored to improve the effectiveness of policy implementation and decision-making at the summit," he told a press conference Thursday. RSOG chief executive officer, Dr Hamidin Abd Hamid, said the summit would serve as a platform where companies could learn to expand and grow the businesses to maximise performance. "We want to provide a win-win situation for the public and private sectors in order for them to create something outstanding to ensure growth," he said.
