Over 35pc Growth In Iran Electricity Export In 9 months

Tehran, Jan 2, IRNA – Iran's exports of electricity have witnessed over 35 percent increase in the first nine months of the Iranian calendar year, started on March 20, compared to the preceding year. According to a Wednesday report released by Ministry of Energy, Iran has exported more than 8,534 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of electricity to the neighboring countries during the said period. The figure stood at 6,301 in the past year. Iran exchanges energy with neighboring states including Armenia, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Nakhichevan, Iraq and Afghanistan./end
