Over $394m worth of products exported through Mehran Border to Iraq

Ilam, Dec 10, IRNA – A local official said that over 394 million dollar worth of goods were exported from Mehran Border Customs to Iraq in the past 8 months. Jamil Shohani who is a deputy for Ilam Industry, Mine and Trade Office said that during the figure showed a sharp increase as compared to the same period last year while the figure for the country's overall amount of exports indicated a 16-percent fall. Exported products consisted of construction materials, steel, agricultural items, plastics, cars, car parts and petrochemical products, he added. He noted that foodstuff products, vegetables, building materials, cement, petrochemical products and poly ethylene were also exported from the province which borders Iraq in the west of Iran. 1378/IRNA
