Over 40 Russian firms to attend Aero India-2015 air show

NEW DELHI, February 10. /TASS/. A total of 41 Russian companies will attend India’s main air show, which will be held on February 18-22 in Bangalore in the state of Karnataka, the Indian Defense Ministry reported on its website on Tuesday. The Russian companies, which will attend the Aero India-2015 air show, include state hi-tech corporation Rostec, state arms seller Rosoboronexport, the Almaz-Antei conglomerate, which develops S-300 and S-400 air defense systems, Russian Helicopters rotocraft producer, the United Aircraft-Building Corporation and the Sukhoi, MiG and Irkut civilian and military aircraft manufacturers. The United States will be represented by 64 companies at the Indian air show, which will be attended by firms from 33 countries, including Israel, the UK and France. The Russian-Indian joint venture BrahMos Aerospace confirmed to TASS news agency that it would also attend the Bangalore air show. The JV will feature full-scale mock-ups of its BrahMos-A supersonic cruise missile scheduled to be test-fired from a Sukhoi Su-30MKI (Flanker H) multirole fighter in March, and also a small-size copy of its future Brahmos-2 hypersonic missile.
