Over Bt15m pirated goods seized by Thai authorities

BANGKOK, May 20 (TNA) - Thai police have seized pirated products, worth over 15 million baht, in Bangkok and arrested three suspects, including two foreigners and a Thai woman. Metropolitan Police Chief Police Lieutenant General Sriwara Rangsipramanakul announced the seizure of the pirated goods at a press conference in the capital on Wednesday, saying that Thai police, accompanied by a group of affected people, confiscated over 800 items of the pirated products, including bags, watches and shoes of world class brandname products, like Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Prada and Rolex, totally worth more than 15 million baht. According to the metropolitan police chief, the products were seized at shops in Bangkok's Sukhumvit area and three suspects, including an Indian man, a Myanmar woman and a Thai woman, were arrested possessing the pirated items.
