Over Bt1b expected to be changed hands at Thailand's LED Expo

BANGKOK, November 23 (TNA) - The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and the private sector will organize the LED Expo & Thailand Energy Saving Week 2016, expected to generate a cash flow of at least one billion baht and attract more than 30,000 international visitors. EGAT Governor Soonchai Kumnoonsate told journalists on Monday that his state enterprise, together with Thailand's IMPACT Exhibition Management Co and India's MEX Exhibitions Co, will organize the exposition to support the government’s policy on reducing energy consumption by 30 per cent within 2036. Soonchai said the LED Expo & Thailand Energy Saving Week 2016 will be organized with a budget of about 50 million baht, consisting of three big events, including LED Expo Thailand 2016, Thailand Energy Saving Week 2016 and PCB Expo Thailand 2016. According to the EGAT governor, the LED Expo & Thailand Energy Saving Week 2016 will be held at Halls 4-8 of the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center on the outskirts of Bangkok from April 19 to 22, 2016, the biggest international energy-saving event to cover exhibition areas of altogether 32,000 square meters. The EGAT revealed that the exposition next year will also include the “Modern Lamp Design Contest 2016” of indoor LED floor lamps, in which students are invited to register until January 8, 2016.
