Pakistan Min. Expresses Resolve To Complete IP Gas Project

Islamabad, Aug 14, IRNA -- Federal Minister for Defense Production Rana Tanveer Hussein has expressed government’s resolve to complete Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project, local media reported on Tuesday. Speaking at a chamber of commerce in eastern city of Sheikhupura, the minister said that number of US drone strikes had decreased in Pakistan after strong condemnation. The minister said that Pakistan did not want war with India as both the countries were holding talks at every level. He said not only Pakistan could produce drones, but it was also able to shoot down the unmanned aircraft. He said the drone attacks were not the sole cause of terrorism as there were some more reasons to the phenomenon. The minister denied presence of Taliban base camp in Punjab and said that strict action would be taken if any such groups were found in the province. He expressed government’s resolve to complete Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project, adding that duration of load-shedding would be decreased further./end
