Panasonic Ties Up with Walt Disney in Projectors

Osaka, Jan. 5 (Jiji Press)--Panasonic Corp. <6752> said Thursday that it has formed a strategic alliance with Walt Disney Parks and Resorts in the field of projectors. Panasonic will supply several hundred projectors for Disney theme parks in the United States. The devices are expected to be used mainly for projection mapping. Under the 10-year deal, Panasonic's projection imaging systems will be the official projection technology for Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California. Panasonic has the world's top market shares in some high-brightness projector models. END
