Petronas To Host 18th Asia Oil & Gas Conference On May 17-19

KUALA LUMPUR, May 6 (Bernama) -- National oil company, Petronas will be hosting the 18th Asia Oil and Gas Conference (AOGC), themed 'Realising Opportunities Amidst Challenges' on May 17-19, 2015 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. This year's edition will focus on hot topics such as novel technology exchange, collaboration strategies, monetisation of unconventional resources and addressing the tensions between suppliers and consumers of gas. It will also introduce the CEO Strategic Dialogue, which will be the highlight of the event, Petronas said in a statement Tuesday. Its president and group chief executive officer (CEO), Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin, will chair the AOGC 2015 advisory panel and organising committee as well as address the CEO Strategic Dialogue. "The programmes that are lined up will provide our participants with new insights, diverse viewpoints and fresh ideas that could spark innovative thinking. "We are also giving greater focus on topics such as the energy hotspot, technology breakthroughs, economic and political scenarios and sessions on downstream and upstream," he said. AOGC is expected to grow in size with exclusive space of 582 square metres, providing exhibitors with the privilege to showcase their products, technologies and services. The conference is expected to draw over 1,500 senior executives, thought leaders, engineers and officials from more than 39 countries. AOGC was first held in 1996 and has become an annual gathering and platform for networking opportunities and forging business partnerships among the oil and gas fraternity in the Asia-Pacific region. -- BERNAMA
