Philip Morris Names New MD For Malaysia, Singapore

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 13 (Bernama) -- Philip Morris International has appointed Kang TaeKoo as the new Managing Director for Philip Morris Malaysia and Singapore, effective Oct 1. In a statement here, the company said Kang is an experienced business leader with expertise in sales and marketing, as well as an ability to manage organisations across diverse cultures. "He will be responsible for the strategic growth of Philip Morris Malaysia's business in an increasingly challenging regulatory and business environment for the tobacco industry," it said. Kang started his career with Philip Morris Korea in 1998. Before coming to Malaysia, he held the position of area vice president for eastern Russia. -- BERNAMA
