PM Najib Invites Cambodian PM To 11th WIEF

From Sharifah Pirdaus Syed Ali PHNOM PENH (Cambodia), Aug 5 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak has invited his Cambodian counterpart, Hun Sen to the 11th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) which will be held in Kuala Lumpur in November. The invitation was delivered by WIEF Foundation Chairman Musa Hitam when he made a courtesy call on Hun Sen here Tuesday. Musa was accompanied by Malaysian Ambassador to Cambodia Raszlan Abdul Rashid and WIEF Secretary-General Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak. During the meeting, Hun Sen expressed his interest to send a delegation to the three-day forum starting Nov 3. Ahmad Fuzi told Bernama that the Cambodian government was very open and receptive of the WIEF and viewed Islam positively. --BERNAMA
