Polish Economic Delegation In Tehran To Develop Trade Ties

Tehran, May 18, IRNA – Tehran Governor General Hossein Hashemi said on Saturday that Polish economic delegation visit to Tehran will develop economic cooperation between the two countries. In a meeting with the Polandˈs economic team, he added that despite oppressive sanctions, Iranians have led normal life and the countryˈs progress in science and technology gained momentum. Hasehmi noted that the government continued with urban development and Tehran has no shortcomings in terms of beauty and modernization compared to other capitals in the world. Expressing pleasure with Polish delegationˈs visit to Iran, the Tehran province governor-general said that the visit can pave the way for the two countries to implement joint investment projects. He called on the visiting Polish economic activists to determine their favorite areas for investment to facilitate their communication with the relevant sector in Tehran. ˈIran is second in terms of gas reserves in the world,ˈ he said, noting that the country stands third in oil reserves in the world and is among 15 top countries in the world with 67 types of minerals. Hashemi hoped that the two countries would develop trade and economic ties. Hashemi added that regular visits by the officials, businessmen and entrepreneurs will help enhance level of economic cooperation./end
