Population incomes exceed inflation three times which is most desired balance for any country, Azerbaijani President

Baku, July 11 (AzerTAc). “Population incomes have increased by 4.7 per cent, i.e. they exceed inflation three times. This is the most desired balance for any country,” said President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the results of socioeconomic development in the first half of 2014 and objectives for the future. President Ilham Aliyev noted: “This is a great indicator, especially if we consider that both domestic and foreign investment is made in our country, salaries and pensions are raised every year, Soviet-era deposits have been returned to the public in the form of compensation, with the highest interest rate in the CIS and in the shortest time. Despite all these factors, the inflation is only at 1.6 per cent.” “Therefore, these factors, the main indicators of our economy give us hope that we will maintain the current rate until the end of the year. I do hope that this will be the case and the gross domestic product will increase even more,” he added.
