President of Chamber of Representatives of Uruguay visits SOFAZ

Baku, October 26, AZERTAC Executive Director of the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) Shahmar Movsumov has met with a delegation led by President of the Chamber of Representatives of Uruguay Jorge Gandini. Shahmar Movsumov informed the delegation about the Fund’s history, mission and objectives, investment policy and portfolio, transparency and accountability, the projects financed by SOFAZ, ‘Santiago Principles’ and the Fund’s role in maintaining macro-economic stability and fiscal sustainability. President of the Chamber of Representatives of Uruguay Jorge Gandini hailed his visit to Azerbaijan. Highlighting the economy of his country, Jorge Gandini expressed hope that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Uruguay will continue to develop. The delegation toured the administrative building and museum of SOFAZ.
