President Ilham Aliyev: Launch of Azerspace-2 satellite is our great victory

Baku, October 11, AZERTAC Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has described the country`s putting Azerspace-2 satellite into orbit as “our great victory”. “This is a great achievement. It reinforces Azerbaijan's position as a space country,” the head of state told a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. “We have three satellites now. The launch of Azerspace-2 is our great victory. At the same time, the work to be implemented in this area will bring us additional funds.” The President called the satellite a commercially viable project, saying it will fully justify itself and bring large profits. “This is one type of export. At the same time, this is a very important project in terms of staff training and development of technology. We can rightly be proud that we have three satellites now," President Ilham Aliyev added.
