President Jokowi To Dedicate Several Power Projects In Papua

JAYAPURA, Papua, Oct 17 (Antara) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is scheduled to dedicate several power projects in the Indonesian eastern provinces of Papua and West Papua on Monday (October 17). "Preparations have already been made. There are several electricity projects to be inaugurated," state-owned power company PT PLN's general manager for Papua and West Papua, Yohanes Sukrilismono, said here on Sunday. He said the arrival of the President to Papua would give a positive impact of accelerating development in the eastern region. He said PLN has already planned several electricity generating plants which are all expected to be completed by 2020. "We will build many power plants," he said. President Jokowi is scheduled to arrive at Sentani airport on Monday. On Tuesday he is scheduled to visit Yahukimo district to inaugurate Nop Goliat Dekai airport and launched a one fuel oil price for Papua and inspect fuel oil Air Tractor AT-802.
