Private sector invests in building refinery complex in Bushehr

Bushehr, Nov 9, IRNA – Managing Director of Biran Arya Refinery Complex Esfandiar Zar Ali says construction of a refinery complex in north of Bushehr Province with a fund of 20 thousand billion rials will be launched this year. In a meeting with Mostafa Salari, Governor General of Bushehr, Zar Ali said the required permits have been acquired for the construction of refinery complex in northern part of the province. Appreciating efforts of senior provincial management, he said the location of the complex has been determined and some 50 hectares of land in the coast area of the province has been allocated for the purpose. Meanwhile, governor general of Bushehr said construction of the largest refinery complex for petrochemical products will be started in northern part of the province with the participation of the private sector. He said the northern part of Busher embodies Bahregan oil field which plays a significant role in production and export of oil products and can develop downstream industries in this sector. He said construction of the refinery complex in north of Bushehr to be launched soon will effectively influence economic prosperity of the province especially cities in northern part of the province. Salari said the location for construction of the refinery complex will be put at the disposal of the investor next month and with the release of the required permits necessary infrastructures will be provided for accelerating implementation of the project. Stressing that Bushehr Province will offer the required support for the investors to remove possible impediments, Salari said the feedstock of the refinery complex will be provided by the Oil Ministry. He said given future need of the refinery complex to port facilities it was decided to build it close to the sea with a distance of 200 meters from the coasts of the Persian Gulf./end
