PT. TPL Processes Solid Waste Into Building Materials

Parmaksian, N Sumatra, Jan 11 (ANTARA) - Publicly traded paper pulp producer PT Toba Pulp Lestari(TPL)in the regency of Toba Samosir, North Sumatra, said it has succeeded in processing solid wooden waste into building materials. "All industries have waste either liquid, gas or solid, but PT TPL has succeeded in processing its waste into material with commercial value," company`s spokesman Lambertus Siregar said. Solid waste from the company`s pulp factory has been processed into bricks, paving blocks and cone blocks, Lambertus said here on Friday. He said the success is a result of a six year starting in 2003 research to turn waste into goods having commercial value He said the building materials have been produced mechanically in the factory.
