Qatar Chamber Discuses Means to Facilitate Indonesian Labor Recruitment

Doha, May 25 (QNA) - Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) has discussed means to facilitate Indonesian labor recruitment in the State of Qatar and the establishment of training centers in Indonesia to prepare workers to enter the labor market in order to serve efficiency and productivity measures. This came during a meeting held at the Qatar Chamber Headquarters on Wednesday bringing together Qatar Chamber Vice Chairman Mohamed Bin Tawar and a Delegation of the Ministry of Labor and Immigration of the Republic of Indonesia, chaired by the Indonesian Minister of Manpower Muhammad Hanif Dhakiri, Indonesia's Ambassador to Qatar Mohammed Bassiri Sidihabiy along with a number of Qatari businessmen and owners of recruitment labor offices. The Minister of Manpower and Immigration of Indonesia stressed his country's keenness to develop training and rehabilitation centers for labor, referring to the public investment in the establishment of centers and training institutions, especially in construction, tourism and hospital sectors in order to equip labors with the necessary skills required by the labor market. Schools and universities host also these centers, he added, calling on Qatari businessmen to visit training centers and institutions in Indonesia and identify investment opportunities therein. On his part, Qatar Chamber Vice Chairman said the meeting was an opportunity to enhance economic relations between the two countries and discuss cooperation in the field of employment in light of the tremendous boom in Qatar in preparation for the 2022 FIFA World Cup and infrastructure projects.
