Qatar Chamber, Finnish Delegation Discuss Economic Cooperation

Doha , April 18 (QNA) - Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) met Monday with the Finnish business delegation currently visiting Doha to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides. Qatar Chamber Board Member, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Obaidli said that Qatar enjoys attractive business opportunities for those wishing to invest in the region, noting that Qatari businessmen interested in exploring investment opportunities in the State of Finland and they already have partnerships with the private sector there, especially in sectors such as technology and e-learning and digital industries. Al Obaidli expressed hope that the visit of the Finnish delegation to contribute to increase perception on the attractiveness of doing business in Qatar, calling on them to do long-term investment in Qatar, which will contribute to benefit from these investment. HE Qatar's non-resident ambassador to Finland Bader Omar Al Dafa praised relations between the two countries, adding that his tenure in Finland about three years. He said that Qatar was able to exploit the revenue from the oil and gas sectors in diversifying its economy and supporting private sector and creating the necessary infrastructure to carry out investment and provision of legal and legislative environment conducive to attracting investment. Meanwhile, HE Finnish Ambassador to the UAE Rita Swan reviewed the nature of the Finnish economy and investment opportunities, calling on Qatari businessmen to listen to the investment opportunities offered by the trade delegation to discuss the possibility of sharing in those opportunities. She stressed that her country enjoys attractive investment opportunities and economy with a stable growth at the same time near the world trade centers.(QNA)
