Qatar's Ministry of Economy Recalls 2008 - 2009 Mercedes-Benz C-Class, GLK-Class Vehicles

Doha, May 17 (QNA) - The Ministry of Economy and Commerce in collaboration with Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles (NBK Auto), official agent of Mercedes-Benz in Qatar, has recalled the 2008 - 2009 model of Mercedes-Benz C-Class and GLK-Class vehicles due to a possible defect in the work of the airbag computer system. The ministry said the recall comes within the framework of ongoing coordination and follow-up by the ministry to ascertain the extent of car dealerships' commitment to follow up vehicles' defects and repair them to protect consumers' rights. The ministry also stressed that it will coordinate with the dealership to follow up maintenance and repair operations and will communicate with customers to ensure implementation of the procedures to fix defects. The ministry urged consumers to report any abuses or irregularities by communicating with the Department of Consumer Protection and Commercial Fraud Combat which will receive complaints, suggestions and inquiries through its communication channels.
