QFC Showcases Investment Opportunities in Qatar to Europe

Doha, May 31 (QNA) - The Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) Authority continued its international outreach program throughout Europe this week by sponsoring and participating in The German-Arab Business Forum in Berlin Germany; an important platform for the initiation and promotion of promising business opportunities between German and Arab businessmen and the Going Global event in London; the top UK national exhibition for businesses that are looking to expand internationally. The international outreach program aims to increase awareness of the QFC, its role, and the solutions it provides businesses to expand to the Qatar and beyond. Commenting on the importance of such initiatives, QFC Authority Chief Executive Officer, Yousuf Mohamed Al Jaida said, "Our recent outreach efforts in Berlin and London were highly beneficial and provided us with an opportunity to showcase the QFCs unique platform to businesses in Germany and the UK." He added, "We've seen a lot of interest from companies in Germany and the UK that are looking to expand to the region and we are confident that we will be welcoming a host of companies from these markets in the near future." The QFCs outreach efforts follow their recent and current roadshows in Berlin, Munich, Singapore, Hong Kong, London, Manchester and Edinburgh. QFC is an onshore business and financial center located in Doha, providing an excellent platform for firms to do business in Qatar and the region. The QFC offers its own legal, regulatory, tax and business environment, which allows 100 percent foreign ownership, 100 percent repatriation of profits, and charges a competitive rate of 10 percent corporate tax on locally sourced profits.
