Rise In Iran-Azerbaijan Republic Commercial Exchanges

Baku, April 20, IRNA – Iranˈs commercial attaché in Baku said that Iranˈs goods export to Azerbaijan Republic in year 1391( 2012-2013) compared with the same period in the previous year increased in weight 11.19 percent and in value 8.54 percent. Seyed Faraj Shahidi told IRNA that volume of exported goods from Iranˈs Custom Office to Azerbaijan Republic in the year 1391, without considering export of engineering and technical services, tourism and medical treatment services as well as suitcase export, is two million and 58,386 tons in weight and 548 million dollars in value. He continued that total value of Iranˈs imports from Azerbaijan Republic in the same period is 45 million dollars. Upon the report, petrochemical products, construction materials and food products are the highest figures of Iranˈs export to Azerbaijan Republic. Referring to Iranˈs advantages in the fields of construction materials, agricultural goods, food products, dried nuts, clothing, furniture, pharmacology, engineering and technical services, medical and tourist services, Shahidi added that considering the advantages as well as readiness of different provinces to expand cooperation with the Azerbaijan province, development of economic ties looks necessary./end
