Rising exports of Thai chicken eggs to Hong Kong

BANGKOK, May 30 (TNA) - The Ministry of Commerce reports that there have been rising exports of Thai chicken eggs to Hong Kong, thanks to a higher demand. Commerce Minister Apiradi Tantraporn told journalists of the positive prospect on May 29, saying that during the first quarter of this year, the value of Thai exports of chicken eggs to Hong Kong stood at 179 million baht, close to US exports of chicken eggs to the Hong Kong market. The minister noted that Thailand used to be the third biggest chicken egg exporter to Hong Kong, after China and the United States. According to the minister, the value of Hong Kong's imports of chicken eggs totaled over 5 billion baht last year and the trend is on the rise. (TNA)
