Rosatom ready to attract Japanese suppliers to participate in construction of nuclear power projects in third countries - Rosatom Deputy CEO Komarov

TOKYO, November 27. /TASS/. Rosatom is ready to attract Japanese equipment suppliers for its overseas projects for the construction of nuclear power plants, Rosatom Deputy CEO Kirill Komarov said Friday. "Rosatom is the world's largest company with the largest portfolio of nuclear power plants abroad," he said. "We are ready to actively invite Japanese companies to cooperate in the implementation of these projects," he added. He noted that it would involve the supply of various types of equipment, including turbines, control systems and other equipment for nuclear power plants. "Japan has large companies with a vast experience in this field," he said. "Toshiba, Mitsubishi, and a number of other companies with extensive experience in the production of equipment for nuclear power plants," he added. However, he noted that Russia has enough of its own capacities for the production of the related energy equipment and is able to produce it. "But there so many projects now and so much is needed that there is enough space for all," Komarov said. Read more
