Rosgeo to attract new investors from China to tap resources in Siberia and Far East - CEO

MOSCOW, November 10. Rosgeo will attract new investors from China to develop resources in Siberia and the Far East, Chief Executive Officer of the Russian geological holding Roman Panov told TASS in the interview on Tuesday. "Mineral resources of the region [Siberia and Far East - TASS] are indeed highly attractive for foreign investors at present, including business circles of China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea. China economically interested in developing many kinds of raw minerals in the Far East is the largest investor," Panov said. Rosgeo also plans to develop cooperation with gold miners in this region, Panov added. "Such majors as Kinross and Petropavlovsk are mining gold in the Russia’s East. The holding also plans to cooperate with them in assessment of promising areas and fields development, he said. Read more
