Russia’s GAZ Group mulls supplies of commercial trucks to Iran

TEHERAN, December 21. /TASS/. Russia’s GAZ Group is considering a possibility to supply commercial trucks to Iran after the tests of the vehicles are completed in the coming days, the company’s representative Andrei Dorofeyev told TASS. He was speaking at the exhibition "Russia-Iran: Trade and Industrial Dialogue" which is now under way in Teheran. "It is a vast country and our trucks don’t require additional adjustment, the park of trucks in that country (Iran -TASS) is very old and needs an upgrade," - said Dorofeyev, who is in charge for promotion of the company’s products abroad. "At present, the GAZ Group is considering a possibility to deliver its products to the market of Iran," - Dorofeyev said. At the Group "GAZ" showcased four light commercial vehicles of its production line Next. Dorofeev also said that the company is ready to participate in programs of public transport fleet renewal that were announced by the government of Iran. GAZ also plans to supply Iran with engines manufactured by the Yaroslavl Motor Plant, which is part of the group. Read more
