Russia and China considering over 30 investment projects worth $75 bln - CEO of Russian Direct Investment Fund

BEIJING, March 30. /TASS/. The Russian-Chinese intergovernmental commission for investment cooperation is currently considering 32 projects totally worth $75 bln, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Kirill Dmitriev told TASS Monday. "Currently, the commission is considering 32 projects totally worth $75 bln, while 20 additional projects may also be applied for the commission’s consideration. Thus, we’re most likely to have more than 50 projects, which the commission will be considering from the viewpoint of lifting barriers and possibilities of investment from the side of the Russia-China Investment Fund (RCIF) and other financial instruments," he said, adding that the RCIF set up by the RDIF and China’s sovereign fund CIC, have already closed 10 deals in 2 years after its creation. Apart from cooperation with CIC, the RDIF is partnering with other financial structures, Dmitriev said. "Today we will be meeting representatives of the Silk Road Economic Belt Fund, which is a very important fund with $40 bln worth of capital, which may be increased to $100 bln.
