Russia, Azerbaijan to sign investment cooperation plan - deputy PM

BAKU, February 10. /TASS/. Russia and Azerbaijan are expected to sign a plan on cooperation in the investment sphere up to 2020 in the first half of 2015, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said on Tuesday. "We are working on several documents, on which we have agreed to step up the coordination of technical issues in an effort to sign them in the first half of the year," Dvorkovich told journalists. Dvorkovich said the plan refers to cooperation in the investment sphere up to 2020 and an agreement on synchronizing the work of energy systems of the two countries, and the creation of an investment platform between the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and Azerbaijan’s State Oil Fund. "Such agreements are the basis for economic projects in the trade and investment sphere," Dvorkovich said, adding that upon his arrival to Moscow he would give the necessary instructions to speed up the process.
