Russia has powerful scientific and production potential in nuclear industry - Putin

MOSCOW, April 15. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a welcome address to the participants, organizers and guests of the 11th international forum Atomexpo-2019. The message was published on the Kremlin’s website on Monday. "Today nuclear technologies open brand new opportunities for developing medicine, creating unique materials, space exploration and Arctic exploration and serve to consolidate the energy base of the economy," the message says. "Russia traditionally has a strong personnel, scientific and production potential in this sphere and actively participates in international cooperation, offering its partners high-quality, reliable, safe and ecological solutions." Putin noted that the international forum Atomexpo became a popular venue at which current issues in the nuclear industry are discussed and promising business contacts are established. The president is confident that the forum will be held in a constructive atmosphere and will contribute to the solution of long-term tasks in the domestic and world nuclear industry. Atomexpo-2019 will run on April 15-16, 2019, in Sochi under the slogan "Nuclear Technologies for Better Life." The forum is being held at Rosatom’s initiative. In 10 years it became a traditional venue for major representatives for the global nuclear industry, state structures, international and public organization and experts. Read more
