Russia plans to take part in construction of two power units of new nuclear plant in China - Atomstroiexport

MOSCOW, August 17. /TASS/. Russia expects it will take part in construction of at least two out of six power units of a new nuclear power plant (NPP) in East China, Atomstroiexport, an affiliate of Russian nuclear corporation Rosatom, told TASS on Thursday. "We expect that we will participate in building at least two out of six power units," the corporate press service said. China made a proposal to Russia to build a new nuclear power plant in Jiangsu Province, 20 km away from the Tianwan NPP built with the Russian participation, a source in the industry told TASS. The NPP is anticipated to have six power units. Rosatom is currently participating in construction of power units of the Tianwan NPP, the largest facility of the Sino-Russian economic cooperation.
