Russia ready to cooperate with India in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence

MUMBAI, February 21. /TASS/. Russia is prepared to cooperate with India in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence as well as the Internet of Things (IoT), Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov said at the opening of a forum of small and medium Russian-Indian businesses. "We’ve been working hard on the digitization of production and are prepared to share our products and ideas in the field of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence," he said. Russian companies are eager to cooperate with Indian partners in research into IoT technologies and equipment. Manturov said that Russia was also prepared to share competences and provide water purification and garbage processing equipment. About the importance of small enterprises Manturov said that small and medium businesses in Russia accounted for 22% of Russia’s GDP. By 2024 the rate is to go up to 40% of the GDP. The Russian-Indian business forum of small and medium businesses is being held on February 21 in the form of a video linkup of audiences in Mumbai, Moscow, St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg. The purpose of the event is to promote ties between business communities of the two countries and encourage the development of high-tech startups. Russia’s Industry and Trade Ministry, the Confederation of Indian Industry, the Russian Export Center and TASS are the forum’s organizers. Read more
