Russian companies in talks on Iran gas pipeline construction - ambassador

YEKATERINBURG, October 6. /TASS/. A number of Russian companies are holding talks on participation in the construction of the IGAT9 natural gas pipeline in Iran, Iranian Ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanai said on Tuesday. "Indeed, some Russian companies are currently in talks on their participation in the construction of the IGAT9 gas pipeline," Sanai said without naming the companies and giving no details of the negotiations. The National Iranian Gas Company is planning to invest $8.5 billion in the 1,800-meter pipeline built to increase exports and gas supplies to the republic’s western regions. Read more
