Russian government approves draft agreement with North Korea on cooperation in electricity power industry

MOSCOW, November 30. /TASS/. The Russian government has approved the draft agreement between Russia and North Korea on cooperation in electric power industry, according to the order signed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and published on the official governmental website on Monday. "In accordance with Paragraph 1 of Article 11 of the federal law ‘On international agreements of the Russian Federation’, the draft agreement between the governments of Russia and DPRK (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea) on cooperation in the sphere of electric power presented by the Russian Energy Ministry, coordinated with the Foreign Ministry and other interested federal executive authorities, should be approved," the order said. The Russian prime minister orders the Energy Ministry to hold talks with North Korea with participation of the Foreign Ministry and sign an agreement on behalf of the Russian government after striking a deal.
