Russian PM to discuss payments in national currencies with EAEU counterparts on Jan 31

MOSCOW, January 28. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin will visit Almaty to participate in the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council on January 31, press service of the government said in a statement. "The agenda of the meeting focuses on relevant issues of operations of the Eurasian Economic Union and further improvement of its regulatory framework," the statement said. It is planned that removing obstacles on the EAEU’s domestic market, integration of national information systems, cooperation in the fields of customs regulation and formation of the Union’s common markets will be prioritized at the meeting. "The plan is to discuss a number of initiatives on expansion of the use of national currencies on the Eurasian territory and improvement of the use of protective measures considering global practices and the experience of multisided integration unions," the cabinet noted. Mishustin also plans to attend an international forum dubbed ‘The Digital Future of the Global Economy’ as part of the visit. Read more
