Russian telecom operators are holding talks on operation on market of Iran - co-chairman of intergovernmental commission

MOSCOW, November 19. /TASS/. Russian telecom operators are holding talks for operation on the market of Iran, Russia’s Energy Minister and co-chairman of the Russian-Iranian intergovernmental commission Alexander Novak told reporters. "Actually, the talks on participation of Russian companies are underway. I don’t know how they will end but in general the companies are discussing interaction in telecommunication sector," he said. Earlier TASS reported that Russia and Iran held a meeting of the intergovernmental commission ahead of a possible removal of sanctions against Iran. The countries in particular plan to increase trade turnover to $10 bln. Besides that, the parties are in talks on possible attraction of Russian funding by Iran, mutual settlements in national currencies, cooperation in difference sectors of economy in particular in oil and agriculture sectors.
