Salehi Urges Iran-Brazil To Employ Their High Economic Capacities

Tehran, June 11, IRNA – Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said Iran and Brazil should employ their high economic capacities to advance their ties. He made the remarks here Monday in a meeting with Brazil’s new Ambassador to Tehran, Santiago Morao during which he submitted a copy of his credentials to him. Noting that the true capacities and potentials of the two countries have not been fully employed yet in expanding bilateral ties, Salehi said the two countries have to use their potentials in different areas including trade, economy, technology, academy and scientific activities. He referred to Brazil as an influential country in the Latin American region and said Iran is happy with Brazil’s rapid development in technological and scientific areas which is turning the country into a regional power. The Brazilian diplomat said his country looked at Iran as a major player both in the region and the world./end
