Second round of talks on free trade zone between EAEU, Israel to be held in a matter of weeks - ambassador

MOSCOW, January 29. /TASS/. The second round of talks on a free trade zone between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Israel will be held in a matter of weeks in Moscow, Israel’s Ambassador to Russia Gary Koren said in an interview with TASS. A research carried out by the two sides earlier showed that a free trade zone formed between the EAEU and Israel might be mutually beneficial, the diplomat said. "We have good bilateral relations with all EAEU member-states, and the second round of talks will be held in a matter of weeks in Moscow," he said, adding that "hopefully the agreement will be signed in a year or two." "Probably there have been some concerns as the agreement covers not only trade, but services and investments. This is the issue that we are trying to solve during those talks, and we expect a breakthrough at the next, second round of talks," Koren said. The Eurasian Economic Union is an international economic integration of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. It started its work on January 1, 2015. Read more
