Services for businessmen to improve from Jan 5

BANGKOK, Jan 2 (TNA) - As the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) takes effect at end-2015, the Commerce Ministry’s Business Development Department will upgrade customer service standards for businessmen to international level from next Monday, said Pongpun Gearaviriyapun, director-general of the department. The Ministry of Commerce’s Single Point Service programme will be offered at the Business Development Department headquarters starting from January 5, said Miss Pongpun. Under the programme outlined by the government policy which wants to see qualitative and transparent services, applicants could receive services in every field and simultaneously see their expenses reduced, she said. Three units under the ministry including the Intellectual Property, Foreign Trade and the Business Development departments are prepared to jointly offer services including company registration, and applying for import and export licences at the Business Development Department only, Miss Pongpun added.
