SmartRail Asia 2015 to be held in Thailand

BANGKOK, March 10 (TNA) - Bangkok will be the venue of Southeast Asia's biggest railway fair, the SmartRail Congress & Expo 2015, in November. Alex Williamson, Managing Director of its organizer Global Transport Forum from Britain, told journalists on Tuesday that Bangkok deserves to be the venue, as Thailand is a regional railways center with expanding national economy and investment. Alex foresaw that the regional event, aimed at showing Asian and European railway technologies, should attract over 3,000 international visitors, including decision-makers from countries in Southeast Asia, South Asia, southern China and the Middle East. Meanwhile, David Aitken, Managing Director of co-organiser Asian Exhibition Services Co, announced that the SmartRail Congress & Expo 2015 will be held at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center (BITEC) from November 25-27.
