SMEs Encouraged To Take Advantage Of MIMF 2017

KUALA LUMPUR, May 31 (Bernama) -- The annual Malaysia International Machinery Fair (MIMF) 2017 continues to be an important global trade fair and local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) should take advantage of the platform to promote their products, brand and build a business network, globally. Malaysia Promas International Business Society President Chong Chong Tik said Malaysia's processed food industry was increasing in tandem with the strong demand for quality food, hence, the need for the right technology. “This trade fair provides the platform to search for food processing machinery and equipment to produce quality food. "There would be about 800 booths put up by exhibitors from 600 participating companies, worldwide. It is essential for newly set-up SMEs to establish a name for themselves and get the upper hand among local and international competitors," he told a press conference on the four-day MIMF 2017 which would kick off on July 27. Exhibitors from China, India, Japan, South Korea and ASEAN countries are taking part in the fair jointly organised by Promas, ES Event Management Sdn Bhd and supported by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation. The MIMF 2017 would also simultaneously feature the Malaysia International Packaging and Labelling, Food Processing Machinery and Equipment Exhibition, Malaysia International Sign and LED Exhibition, Malaysia International Plastic Mould and Die Exhibition and SME Maritime Silk Road Business Conference. -- BERNAMA Copy
