Sophos Simulator To Prevent Phishing Attacks

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 8 (Bernama) -- Sophos, a global leader in network and end-point security, has launched an advanced phishing attack simulator and training solution on its cloud-based security management platform Wednesday. Phishing is the fraudulent practice of sending emails to induce individuals to reveal personal information, such as passwords and credit card numbers. "The simulator, named Sophos Phish Threat, enables information technology managers to create an authentic phishing simulation and training sessions to educate employees on the do's and don'ts when faced with sophisticated and evolving cybercrime techniques," it said in a statement Wednesday. Sophos said phishing remained one of the most common attack vectors for hackers who exploited end-user behaviour as the weakest link in a company’s cyber defensces. "Sophos Phish Threat automates the entire training process and provides visual analytics to identify vulnerable users," Sophos said. Sophos acquired the Phish Threat technology in 2016 from Silent Break Security, a penetration test and risk assessment consultancy and has integrated the product into Sophos Central platform. -- BERNAMA
