South Korea To Establish Machine Tools Training School

Jakarta, May 12 (Antara) - The Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and the Indonesian Small and Medium Enterprise Ministry jointly agreed to establish a machine tools training school in Indonesia. "We are ready to support Indonesia to be the most important market in Southeast Asia with its rapid economic growth in the recent years, and we are ready to help the local community with the establishment of the training school," Vice President of Doosan-Infracore Lee Jae-Yoon stated here Monday. The machine tools training will be held during May 12-23, 2014, in Jakarta and Cikarang. Some of the training materials that will be delivered are machining center training during May 12-16, 2014, and lathe training during May 19-23, 2014. Once the participant completes the training, he/she is eligible to receive a certificate from the training school. "We agreed to continue the program on a regular basis every year. This is one of our corporate social responsibilities," Lee Jae-Yoon emphasized. The training school is expected to develop workforce skills in support of small and medium-sized manufacturing companies, while enhancing the competitiveness of the manufacturing sector in Indonesia. Deputy of Production Division, Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs I Wayan Dipta pointed out that since its establishment in June 2013, the Korea-Indonesia Collaboration Center has been providing practical solutions to support government policies, such as the One Village One Product. "I welcome this program implementation as a means to increase the capabilities of Indonesian workers in the manufacturing sector, a major step forward to boost relations among both countries," Lee Jae-Yoon added.
