South Pars Phases 15, 16 Inaugurated While Safety Fully Checked Out - Official

Bushehr, Aug 6, IRNA – South Pars phases 15 and 16 were inaugurated in the past couple of days while their safety were fully checked out, an oil official said Tuesday. Iranian National Oil Company website quoted Managing-Director of Pars Oil and Gas Company Mohammad Reza Zahiri as saying. Zahiri said the phases 15 and 16 of South Pars gas fields went on stream without any problem last Wednesday during a ceremony attended by former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The development project of the South Pars phases 15 and 16 is aimed at daily producing of 50 million cubic meters of natural gas, 80,000 barrels of gas condensate, 400 tons of sulphur and one million tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and ethane a year./end
