State Agency for Mandatory Medical Insurance and Caspian European Club extending cooperation

Baku, July 2, AZERTAC Chairman of the Board of the State Agency for Mandatory Medical Insurance Zaur Aliyev has met with a delegation of the members of the Board of the Caspian European Club. The delegation was headed by First Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Club Telman Aliyev. The meeting discussed the possibilities of extension of bilateral cooperation, the activity of the Caspian European Club and key aspects of development of the area of mandatory medical insurance. Head of the State Agency for Mandatory Medical Insurance Zaur Aliyev provided the meeting participants with information relating to the progress of the pilot project on mandatory medical insurance (MMI), challenges and obtained results, measures concerning the improvement and updating of MMI. Zaur Aliyev also informed about the development of the new legislative act, regulations and strategies for further development of MMI. He noted that private insurance organizations and clinics can also join the MMI system. Telman Aliyev thanked the Chairman of the Board of the State Agency for Mandatory Medical Insurance Zaur Aliyev for the attention and cooperation with the Caspian European Club. He expressed the hope that the bilateral cooperation will promote solution of problems in the field of mandatory medical insurance, and the Caspian European Club would, in turn, make all efforts with regard to suggestions for maintaining the momentum of active dialogue between business and State Agency. At the end of the meeting, the parties reached an agreement on creation of the working group which shall promptly address problems, requests and suggestions of the member companies of Caspian European Club, Caspian American Club and Caspian European Club, associated with mandatory medical insurance issues. The Caspian European Club, which brings together more than 5,000 member companies and organizations from 70 countries around the world, was established in June 2002 with the support of the largest oil and gas companies working in the Caspian-Black Sea region and with the active involvement of the Caspian Energy International Media Group. The Caspian American Club (established on 24 December 2016) and Caspian Asian Club (26 January 2018) will be managed by the Members of the Board of the Caspian European Club for 2 years. All companies that join the Caspian European Club as members get an automatic membership within the Caspian American Club, Caspian Asian Club and vice-versa.
